If the infection occurs in the vagina then the woman would feel a burning sensation accompanied by a vaginal discharge which is thick and white or thin and watery. What are the symptoms when the infected area is the mouth?

You could see some thick white patches on top of swollen red skin in the mouth. Though it may not itch as it does with other outer skin infections, but the area becomes very sensitive and may even bleed with the removal of the white part. Because this causes pain during eating and drinking, ensure the child is well hydrated.

You need to remain ever alert for the early signs of yeast infections. It may not be fatal, but if you do not attend to it at the right time, might develop into something worse at a later stage. The symptoms mentioned above are the most common but make an appointment with your doctor if you have any problems.
